由中国科学院国际合作局资助，中国科学院地球环境研究所承办的2024年“一带一路”干旱区土壤碳循环国际培训班定于8月17-31日在西安举办。

本届培训班将有包括来自乌兹别克斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦、巴基斯坦、喀麦隆、伊朗、埃及、卢旺达、尼泊尔、埃塞俄比亚等“一带一路”沿线11个国家的24名优秀青年研究人员参加。

培训班将邀请国内外土壤碳循环领域知名学者进行授课，通过理论研究、室内试验和野外调查、典型案例分析等多种授课方式，让“一带一路”沿线国家的青年学者全面了解干旱生态系统土壤碳循环的基础知识，从而促进“一带一路”国家之间的科教合作。此次培训班的举办对协助提升沿线国家应对气候变化的能力,增强我国在“一带一路”沿线国家的科技影响力有积极作用。

Notice of the Opening of the International Training Program on Soil Carbon Cycling in Drylands along the Belt and Road Countries

Sponsored by the Bureau of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and organized by the Institute of Earth Environment of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the International Training Program on Soil Carbon Cycling in Drylands along the Belt and Road Countries is scheduled to be held in Xi'an from August 17^thto 31^st, 2024.

This training program will be attended by 24 outstanding young researchers from 11 Belt and Road countries, including Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Cameroon, Iran, Egypt, Rwanda, Nepal, and Ethiopia.

The training program will invite renowned scholars in the field of soil carbon cycling from both China and abroad to deliver lectures. Through various teaching methods, including theoretical research, laboratory experiments, field surveys, and analysis of typical case studies, the program aims to provide young scholars from the Belt and Road countries with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental knowledge of soil carbon cycling in drylands. Ultimately, this training course is expected to foster scientific and educational cooperation among the Belt and Road countries. The hosting of this course is anticipated to play a positive role in assisting countries along the route to enhance their ability to cope with climate change and strengthening China's scientific and technological influence in these countries.
