简历：
现任中国科学院地球环境研究所研究员、中国第四纪科学研究会常务理事、中国第四纪科学研究会古气候模拟专业委员会主任，《中国科学》、《第四纪研究》、《高原气象》等刊物编委。长期从事亚洲季风-干旱区及青藏高原多时间尺度气候变化的分析与模拟研究。
1988-1994年在中国科学院兰州高原大气物理研究所先后任助研、副研究员，1995年被中国科学院破格晋升为研究员，1999年以来任中国科学院地球环境研究所研究员。曾于1993-1994年在英国利物浦大学和里丁大学、1999-2001年在美国加州大学洛杉矶分校、2003-2005年在美国威斯康星大学气候研究中心进行访问研究。
曾获2008年国家自然科学二等奖(排名第3)、2012年国家自然科学二等奖(排名第5)，中国首届青藏高原青年科技奖、中国第四纪青年科学家奖、中国科学院朱李月华优秀教师奖、陕西省有突出贡献专家称号等，入选国家人才计划并被授予"有突出贡献中青年专家"称号。
主持过国家杰出青年科学基金、国家重点研发计划等项目10余项。发表研究论文300余篇(其中SCI论文180余篇)，被SCI刊物引用1.2万余次，入选Elsevier 2021-2024中国高被引学者。
